Obituary of Irene T. Clamp

Irene T. Clamp, 84, of 2123 Southwestern Dr., Lakewood, NY, passed away at 11:40 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019, in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 12, 1934 in Moncton New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of the late Henri and Elmire Gaudet Bourque. In earlier years she had worked as a beautician in the Buffalo, NY area for several years , later to become a dedicated stay at home mom and office assistant for her late husband. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lakewood and will be remembered as one who loved spending time with her family cooking, baking and sewing. Her true talents were touching the lives of all those she met. She was considered a second mom too many. She enjoyed spending time shopping, watching sports and hanging out with her grandchildren. Surviving are her four children; Mark J. Clamp of South Wales, NY, Douglas ( Joan) Clamp of Ashville, NY, Kathleen (Todd) Park of Jamestown, Sharon (Pete) Brooks of Las Vegas, NV, four grandchildren; Ashley (Donald) Rogers of Cherry Creek, NY, Brandon Park of Jamestown, Michael Clamp, Olivia Clamp both of Ashville, as well as many nieces and nephews and her two special friends, Pat Fink and Cathy Smith. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald S. Clamp whom she married January 2, 1960 and who died June 4, 1990, and four sisters; Margaret Boucher, Jeannette Stouffer, Lorraine Melanson, Diane LeBlanc. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in the Open Meadows Cemetery.
