Obituary of Dana B. Hamrick

Dana Bernard Hamrick, 62, of 965 28th Creek Road Kennedy, passed away peacefully Tuesday May 7, 2019 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 27, 1956 in Medina, OH the son of Tommy Bernard, and Virginia Lee Hinerman Hamrick. Dana worked as a roofer for 38 years, at AW Farell and Son Inc., Jamestown Roofing Inc., and Paramount Roofing Inc. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and pets Yukon, Abby, Casper, and my buddy. Dana also enjoyed fishing and tinkering. Surviving besides his parents of West Virginia are his wife of 34 years, Denise Kay VanOrd Hamrick; two sons: Andrew Bernard Hamrick (Kelly Blakeslee) and Clayton Lee Hamrick (Katelyn Stocom); eight grandchildren: Jacob Jones, Nathan Jones, Kayley Hamrick, Justin Estus, Travis Estus, Zachary Estus, Nick Estus, and Julia Estus; two great granddaughters: Maryjane Estus and Penelope Estus; and his siblings: Margie Green, Janet Sischo, Johnny Hamrick, Tina Arnold, and Jennifer Hamrick. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Hamrick who died February 9, 2016. Note: remember to smile A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery, Ellington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
