Obituary of Paul C. Carlson

Paul C. Carlson, 57, of Panama, NY, went home to his Heavenly Father, Wednesday June 12, 2019. A lifelong area resident, he was born October 11, 1961 in Jamestown the son of Blanche Olson Carlson and the late Clarence H. Carlson. Paul was a 1979 graduate of Panama Central High School. For many years, he helped his father on the family dairy farm, and he worked in the gas and oil industry. He enjoyed tinkering around the farm, working on the machinery. Surviving are his mother Blanche Carlson of Lakewood; two sons, Joshua and Seth Carlson; three stepchildren, Brittany, Dustin, and Stephen Raynor; several step grandchildren whom he adored; six brothers and sisters, Barbara Newberry of Copperas Cove, TX; Phillip (Sharon) Carlson of Panama; Marcia (Jim) Bliss and Cheryl (Chuck) VanRiper both of Jamestown; Annette (Ken) Trout of Great Falls, MT; John Carlson of Panama; a step brother, David (Vanessa) Tracy of Panama; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence H. Carlson, and a sister, Lucille M. Carlson. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday June 30, 2019 in the Panama Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Panama Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Panama Baptist Church, 21 North Street, Panama, NY 14767; or to a charity of choice.
