Obituary of Patricia A. Streed

Patricia A. Streed, 82, formerly of 418 Baker St., passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Heritage Village Rehab & Skilled Nursing Facility. She was the widow of Frederick A. Streed, whom she married July 12, 1958 and who died February 8, 2015. Patricia was born June 16, 1937 in Jamestown and was a daughter of the late Evar and Gertrude (Martin) Larson. In early years, she had been employed by the Woolworth's Store in downtown Jamestown. She was also very active in the PTA when her children were young. Pat was a member of Levant Wesleyan Church for many years, and in more recent times, New Hope Church in Jamestown. She is survived by a son, Scott (Sherry) Streed of Jamestown and daughter Stacy (Owen) Mead of Zephyrhills, FL; six grandchildren: Brianna Streed and Braden Streed, both of Charlotte, NC, Brittany (fiancé Jacob Youngberg) Streed of Falconer, Nicholas Jaroszynski of Charlotte, NC, and Andrew and David Jaroszynski, both of Dawsonville, GA; and five great-grandchildren: Taytem Grace Bowman, Nicholas Jaroszynski, Jr., Alexandria, Sophia and Rose Jaroszynski, and another expected addition this October. Also surviving is a sister, Sandra Austin of Zephyrhills, FL; sister-in-law, Janice Streed of Lakewood, NY; nephews, Gregory Streed of Jamestown and Darryl Streed of Lakewood; and nieces Brenda Larson of Hawaii and Becky Peraza of Desert Hot Springs, CA. In addition to her husband Fred, Pat was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Larson. Pat's family wishes to thank the staff of Heritage Village for their loving care of the past six years, and especially Lisa Erickson's care and guidance. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7th in the Lind Funeral Home. Pat's nephew, the Rev. Gregory Streed will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., for one hour prior to the service Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Dr., Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221; or to a charity of choice.
