Obituary of Eva Hallsen

Eva Hallsen, 89, of Mint Hill, N.C., formerly of New Albany, Ind., passed away Nov. 25, 2019. She was born in Olean, N.Y., on Sept. 17, 1930. Eva married James E.G. Hallsen on Feb. 17, 1952. James passed away in 2005. Eva was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey A.J. Hallsen in 2018. Eva had a passion for plants, birds, traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Jody A. (David) Hunt; grandchildren: Jeffrey Hallsen (Rachel), Ronda Pierce, Bobbi Hallsen, Jesse Hallsen, Bethany Keller (Will), Lauren Beatty (Joey), Abbey Kirkland (Josh) and Spencer Hunt; as well as 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at 2 p.m., at Lind Funeral Home, 805 W. Third St, Jamestown, NY 14701. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fluvanna Cemetery in Jamestown. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Judes 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
