Obituary of Charles B. Fleming

Charles B. Fleming, III, 62, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 5:43 pm Saturday, January 25, 2020, following a brief illness and surrounded by his family at UPMC Chautauqua. An area resident for most of his life, he was born August 6, 1957 in Wesleyville, PA, a son of the late Charles B. Fleming, II and Mary A. Mattingly Fleming. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1984. Surviving is his mother, Mary Fleming of Jamestown, three children; Kelly Fleming of Jamestown, Amy Jo Caldwell, Nathaniel Fleming both of Falconer, NY, several grandchildren including Amarra Fleming, his siblings; Rhonda Teeter, Paul Fleming, Monica Flaming all of Jamestown, Karen Fleming and Patricia Jackson of Kennedy, NY. He was preceded in death by his father who died September 16, 2009, his wife the former Sharon Vik Fleming who died June 24, 2013, a brother, Johnny Fleming, a sister, Jacqueline Harris, a brother, Johnny Fleming and a niece, Kristiann Jackson. A private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.
