Obituary of Mark A. Greenlee

Mark A. Greenlee, 63, of East 4th Street in Jamestown, passed away following a short illness on the afternoon of Thursday, April 23, 2020. He was born November 17, 1956 in Jamestown, a son of the late Andrew and Dorothy Bryant Greenlee. Mark was a 1975 graduate of Jamestown High School and lived most of his life here. He was a Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed going to games when he could, and often sported a Bills baseball cap. Mark loved classic rock music, movies and was an avid Star Trek fan. He was well liked and known for his unique sense of humor - he loved to banter. Mark always had a special place in his heart for his great cat, Babe. He will be missed by the many people he touched during his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard E. Greenlee in 2006 and Jeffrey L. Greenlee in 2005; and by a sister, Pamela Roat in 2018. Because of the current restrictions on social gatherings, a private service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Mike Childs. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. A public gathering to celebrate Mark's life will be held Saturday, May 16th at 10 a.m. in Jamestown's Baker Park (between 4th and 5th Streets and bordered by Clinton and Jefferson Streets). Memorial contributions can be made in Mark's name to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd., Jamestown, NY 14701.
