Obituary of Judith A. Moore

Judith A. Moore, 73, of 1109 W. Third Street, left this earth on Sunday April 26, 2020, in UPMC Chautauqua, after a three year battle with Ovarian cancer. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, she was born August 24, 1946, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Yakubik Babich. She graduated from Wilma Boyd School of Modeling. In 1963, she was crowned Miss A.C.R.Y. (American Carpathian Russian Youth). She enjoyed singing lead in a jazz band called the Silhouettes. She married her husband Denis on May 7, 1967. Judy and Denis had a successful advertising business (ADKO) and residential rental units. They retired from both endeavors three years ago. For the past three decades they enjoyed resort traveling with friends. She enjoyed boating on Chautauqua Lake. She was a member of Independent Order of Vikings, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and War Vets Recreation. Judy's vivacious personality, sharp wit, and infectious laugh would light up a room wherever she went. She was loving, charming, caring, generous, funny and compassionate. A natural beauty that was always "dressed to the nines". Judy loved to cook and was well known for her famous "Mama Judy's Spaghetti" and she's not even Italian. Surviving are her husband Denis Moore: two children: Geoffrey (daughter in law Sandy) Moore of Vero Beach, FL and Michelle Moore of Jamestown. Four grandchildren: Zachary and Mackenzie Moore and Paxton and Piper Faulk. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Babich, of Pittsburgh, Pa. A celebration of life will be held at a future date when the social distancing restrictions are lifted. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701. You may leave words of condolence at www.lindfuneralhome.com.
