Obituary of Carol A. Anthony

Carol A. Anthony, 72, of 180 Stowe St., passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020 at UPMC Chautauqua. She was the wife of Douglas N. Anthony whom she married May 25, 1968. Carol was born December 27, 1947 in Baltimore, MD and was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Josephine Smith Magaha. She was a graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame, a private all-girls Catholic high school in Baltimore. A paraprofessional for the Jamestown School System, Carol enjoyed being a teacher's aide at Jefferson Middle School until her retirement. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and also loved crafting and reading. In addition to her husband Doug, surviving are her children, Jonathan (Ranee) Anthony of Jamestown, Shelley Anthony of Jamestown, Jeremy Anthony of Frewsburg, as well as her son, Joseph Anthony who has been missing for six years. Also surviving are eight grandchildren: Emma Anthony, Brianna Anthony, Abby Anthony, Noah Anthony, Danika Tibbets, Dalton Anthony, Ellyjah Anthony and Asianna Anthony; and two great-grandchildren, Caden Kozaczki and Landon Tota. A private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Daniel K. Nagle. Visitation will not be observed.
