Obituary of Richard C. Damon

Richard C. "Dick" Damon, 83, of Niobe, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Absolut Care of Westfield. He was born at home on January 11, 1937, a son of the late Gerald and Doris Fisher Damon. Dick was a 1956 graduate of Panama Central School and was a communicant of Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church in Panama. He was a self employed carpenter and had a great love for his horses. Dick is survived by his wife, Ann M. DeMeyere Damon; three children: Craig Damon of Niobe, Cheryl (John) Robson of Gainesville, VA, Lynn Damon of Buffalo; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Marlene Cotter of Jamestown and Kate Herskind of Orchard park. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Sylvia Wiltsie and a brother Vincent Damon. Visitation will not be observed. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021 in the Grant Cemetery.
