Obituary of Linda M. Hawkins

Linda M. Hawkins, 72, of 619 Pine Ridge Rd., Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in her home. She was the wife of Lonzo Hawkins, Jr. whom she married September 24, 1966. Linda was born in Jamestown on February 27, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Billy and Laura Seekins Kolstee. A 1966 graduate of Jamestown High School, Linda was a self employed licensed cosmetologist for many years. She loved caring for and spending time with her grandchildren, as well as caring for her pets. In earlier years, she enjoyed horse barrel racing and pole bending. In addition to her husband, Lonzo, surviving are their three children: Lonzo "Trey" and his wife, Michelle Hawkins, Christine Hawkins and Sheri Hawkins, all of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Alicia Hawkins, Dalton Hawkins, Dominic Salvaggio, Franchesca Hawkins and Nija Hawkins, all of Jamestown; and a brother, William Moore of Florida. A private family gathering will be held and visitation will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, Linda's family requests that memorials be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd., Jamestown, NY 14701.
