Obituary of Liselotte A. Peterson

Liselotte A. "Lilo" Peterson, 98, formerly of Springdale Avenue, died Monday August 17, 2020, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born April 20, 1922, in Darmstadt, Germany, a daughter of the late George and Margarete Schroebel Schmidt. Coming to the United States in 1948, she was a member and secretary of the Cosmopolitan Club. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and volunteered at the former WCA Hospital for over 20 years. She loved time spent with the many Jamestown residents who were natives of Germany. Surviving is a son Heinz (Maria) Weiland of Erie, CO; two grandsons Dr, David (Stacey) Weiland of Evergreen, CO and Daniel (Carmen) Weiland of Vail, CO and three great grandchildren Abigail, Zachary and Andrew Weiland all of Evergreen. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Milton "Pete" Peterson and a sister Elfriede Brumfield. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
