Obituary of James L. Snyder

James L. Snyder, 65, of Salamanca, died Wednesday October 14, 2020, in Baton Rouge, LA. A native of Jamestown, he was born February 1, 1955, a son of the late James Snyder and Betty Wilson Pierce. He earned an Associate's Degree from Jamestown Community College. He owned and operated United States Roofing for many years with his son. He was an explorer, but many joked he drove in circles. For him, he spoke frequently of how he felt he was making the world better by helping people repair their homes after devastating storms. Surviving are four sons Jeremy Snyder of Gallatin, TN, Joseph Snyder of Salamanca, Matthew (Jessica) Snyder of Ripley and Daniel (Chelsea) Lucariello of Gerry and their mother Bobetta Gane of Bemus Point; five grandchildren Marissa Snyder, Rilynn Snyder, Noah Snyder, Nolan Snyder, Landon Hultin-Lucariello and his sister Beatrice Lindahl of Florida. Robert Orr and Brandey Oaks who he considered family also survive him. He had many nieces and nephews he loved greatly. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by siblings Brenda Imus and Bruce Wilson. Observing Corona Virus best practices, a private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. A walk-through visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home.
