Obituary of Robert E. Hartzell

Robert "Bob" Edward Hartzell. 87, of 133 Midgley St., Jamestown, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 surrounded by family at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. Bob was born July 25, 1933 in Numine, PA, a son of the late George and Catherine Webster Hartzell. He was married to Pauline D. Hamilton Hartzell, whom he married April 16, 1960. He had served in the US Navy as a Dental Technician for 20 years and retired in 1975 as a E-7 Naval Chief. He was then employed at Cummins Engine Co. for many years. Bob loved visiting family at camp and friends and helped many of his fellow neighbors, whether it was snow blowing their driveway, fixing their pool, or anything else that needed to be done or repaired. He and Pauline enjoyed playing cards with neighbors for many years. Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pauline Hartzell; two sons: Robert J. and his wife Janine Arcadipane Hartzell of Russell, PA, James M. Hartzell of Jamestown; and surviving of five siblings his youngest sister and her family, Darlene Fetters and her husband Jerry, daughter Jessica and son Shawn, all of Belfont, PA. Per Bob's wishes there will be no visitation or service observed. Memorials can be made to Paws Along The River Humane Society, 212 Elm St., Warren, PA 16365.
