Obituary of Sharon J. Furlow

Sharon Jean Furlow, 80, of Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020 in UPMC Chautauqua. She was born May 10, 1940 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Walter E. and Iva M. Crowell Furlow. Sharon attended Panama Central School and was a member of Watts Flats United Methodist Church for many years. Throughout the years, she had babysat for many relatives and friends children which she adored. She took great comfort in holding and rocking babies. She also loved going to church, loved watching soap operas, and was a caring and sharing person, unless someone tried to take some of her stash of pretzels. Sharon is survived by her sister Regina C. (Lloyd) Weatherbee of Ashville; a brother in law James N. Raistrick of Florida; a niece Julie (Jim) McIntrye of Busti; four nephews: James W. (Andrea) and Jeffrey A. (Elizabeth) Raistrick, both of Maryland, Thomas (Nicole) Hodges of Lakewood, and Bryan (Kathleen) Hodges of Buffalo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Janet E. "Jackie" Raistrick on May 8, 2017. A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced by the Lind Funeral Home. Interment will be in Blockville Union Cemetery.
