Obituary of Peter Dennis Kulig

Peter Dennis "Denny" Kulig, 73, of 2985 Bentley Ave., Jamestown died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020 at UPMC Hamot in Erie. He was born May 7, 1947 in Jamestown, the son of the late Peter J. and Margaret Strand Kulig, and was a graduate of Southwestern Central School. Denny was a US Army Vietnam veteran, serving from November of 1966 to October of 1968. Following his discharge from the military, Denny returned home and went to work for Ring Precision Components, retiring as a tool & die maker in 2013. A proud veteran, he belonged to the Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion and was a member of the Chautauqua County Color Guard. Denny also belonged to the War Vets Recreation, Celoron Moose Club, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Assoc. He was a true sportsman who liked to hunt, fish and play golf and was a huge fan of NASCAR and the Buffalo Bills. Surviving are two nieces, Deanna (Tim) Spitz and their daughters, Emily and Lindsey of Jamestown, and Denise (Jim) Agnew of Warren, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Diane K. DeSantis. Following current pandemic regulations for social distancing, friends will be received in a "walk-through" manner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home, where no more than 20 people may be in the room at any one time. Masks are required at all times. A private service with military honors will be held. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
