Obituary of Michael Anthony Donovan

Michael Anthony "Doc" Donovan, 68, of Falconer Street in Jamestown, died Friday, January 22, 2021 at UPMC Hamot n Erie. He was born July 15, 1952 in Olean, NY, one of seven children of the late John and Barbara Kamler Donovan. He was a 1970 graduate of Olean High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Doc attended Alfred College, graduated from Jamestown Community College in 1987, and the State University of New York at Old Westbury in 1994. He held a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. For 25 years, Doc was employed by Century 21 Real Estate as a real estate assistant. He was very close to Sam and Mary Delpopolo and their family while working for them He loved classical music and Broadway shows, was a member and frequent visitor of the National Comedy Center, and enjoyed old Walt Disney movies. Surviving are his six siblings: Cathy Donovan (Gregg) Place of Forestville, NY, Lynn (Ray) Counter of Torrington, CT, John (Jana) Donovan of Spring Hill, FL, Mary (Roland) Gay of Falconer, NY, Barb (Brian) Stork of Vero Beach, FL and Polly (Joe) Weber of Anaconda, MT; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was also very close to Sam and Mary Delpopolo, spending most holidays together as they considered him family. No services or visitation will be observed.
