Obituary of Shirley E. Stevens

Shirley Elizabeth Stevens, 94, of Brookdale Assisted Living Facility, Lakewood, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 in Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born on April 22, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of the late Orlo Harvey and Theresa Steger White, Jr. She had lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for awhile before moving to Gary, Indiana. She and her husband John then moved to McMurray, PA and lived there from 1965 to 2000 before moving to The Villages in Florida from 2000 to 2013, before moving to Lakewood in 2013. Shirley was a former member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in The Villages, Fl. and St. Benedict the Abbot Church in McMurray, PA. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing Bridge, and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her five children: son John G. (late Dave Daily) Stevens, daughter JoAnne G. (late Andrew) Binder, and their three children: Dylan (Anna) and their children Olivia and River, Josh, Jordon, son Robert G. (Judith) Stevens, Sr., and their four children: Robert (Stacey) Jr., Mia, Erica, Kelly, son William (Denise) Stevens and their two children Alexis, Michael, and son Christopher Stevens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hubert Stevens, who she married September 27, 1947 and who died in March of 2003. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
