Obituary of Ruth A. Molé

Ruth Ann Molé, 81, of Jamestown, died Sunday February 28, 2021, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing, surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. A lifelong area resident, she was born January 19, 1940, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late C. Walter and Ruth Burgess Alexis. She was a graduate of Falconer High School and Jamestown Community College. She and her late husband owned and operated Henry James Big Chief Carpetland for over 40 years. Ruth was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was a member of Quadrillia Dancers. She enjoyed gardening, collecting seashells, vacationing in Florida, capturing many photos, attending country music concerts, and line dancing. More than anything, she loved time spent with family. Surviving are four children Suzanne (James) Genco, Henry (Rochelle) Molé, Paul (Michelle) Molé and Lisa (Paul) Andalora all of Jamestown; twelve grandchildren Craig (Alissa) Robbins, Paul (Shailyn) Robbins, Matthew (Megan) Robbins, Rachel, Rosemarie, Paul, Anthony, Nicholas, Teresa Molé, Paul, Katie and Michael Andalora; seven great grandchildren Sophia, Jack, Henry, Dominick, Vincent, Meredith and Caroline Robbins. A brother, Robert (Barbara) Alexis of Florida, two nieces Kim (Jeff) Swartz of Arizona and Rhonda (John) Dirvin of Texas. Also surviving is her longtime companion, Carl Mazzurco, formerly of Jamestown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul C. "Big Chief" Molé, whom she married August 5, 1961 and who died September 7, 2002. Many will remember Ruth as a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her kind soul and big heart were contagious to those she encountered. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
