Obituary of Margaret V. White

Margaret V. White of Jamestown, NY went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 9, 2021. She was born March 19, 1931 in Frewsburg, NY, the youngest of the ten children of the late Gustaf and Anna Carlson Hanson. Margaret was a 1949 graduate of Frewsburg Central School and a retiree of Cummins Engine in Lakewood. She has been a longtime member of Holy Trinity Tree of Life Lutheran Church. Next to her love of family, her passions included travel, wood carving, painting, gardening and puzzles. Surviving are her son, Michael White and daughter, Kathryn (Lee) Boyd, both of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Aaron Boyd, Allanah Boyd, Leah Boyd, Sophia White and Vivienne White; as well as five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah White and son, Daryl White; four brothers: Enard, LaVern, Clarence and Willis Hanson; and five sisters: Eleanor Anderson, Lillian Rice, Virginia Samuelson, Gladys Fedirko and Delores Hanson. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 16th in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received in a walk-through manner from 3 to 4 p.m., for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Friday. Masks are required and social distancing observed. The family suggests memorials be made to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY, 14750, with memo: "Our House", which is the new Hospice Home slated to open in this Fall.
