Obituary of Dorothy W. Fain

Dorothy W. Fain, 89, of 180 Fairmount Avenue, died Thursday May 6, 2021, in her home. A lifelong area resident, she was born September 1, 1931, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Willis and Martha Dahle Wonderling. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Jamestown General Hospital in laundry and central supply. She was a member of the Eagles and enjoyed playing bingo and cribbage, bowling and going to the casino. Surviving are three children Robert (Patty) Fain of Panama, Calvin (Kelly) Fain of Frewsburg and Valerie Swanson of Jamestown; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her longtime companion Arthur Rasmussen; a son William Fain; granddaughter Tammy Fain and two sisters Joyce Olson and Cleom Pierce. A walk-through visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. A private service will be held for the family Monday evening. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
