Obituary of Arlene V. Saff

Arlene Virginia Saff passed away April 27th, 2021 at an extended care facility in Olathe, Kansas. She was 95 years old. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Wallace G. "Wally" Saff, whom she married April 2, 1945 and who died April 1, 2014. She is survived by three children, Jeff Saff, Susan (Robert) Leatherman, Gary (Callie) Saff, as well as two grandchildren, Eric and Kevin Saff. Arlene was born and raised in Jamestown where she resided until 2015. She spent her remaining years with family in Florida and Kansas. She spent over 30 years self-employed operating the Lorraine School of Dance where she taught tap, ballet and ball room dancing. Hundreds of Chautauqua County children, teens, and adults received instruction and performed in charitable recitals over the years. In addition to dance, Arlene enjoyed family, golf, cross country skiing, and boating. In their retirement, Arlene and best friend Wally traveled across the country and Canada sightseeing and vacationing with family. Arlene was cremated in Olathe, KS and will be buried privately at Sunset Hill Cemetery with family members. Visitation will not be observed.
