Obituary of Shayne C. Matteson

Shayne C. Matteson, 25, of 6695 South Main Street, Cherry Creek, died Tuesday June 1, 2021, in Cherry Creek. He was born March 23, 1996, in Dunkirk, a son of Franklin Matteson, Jr. and Lisa Hosier Silva. He was a 2014 graduate of Pine Valley Central School. Trucking was his life. He was employed by Dart Transit as an independent truck driver. He enjoyed working out, hanging with his friends and family, but more than anything he loved his dogs Apollo and Remy. Surviving are his father and step mother Franklin and Kristin Matteson, Jr of Pineville, LA; his mother and stepfather Lisa and Don Silva of Cherry Creek; siblings Jessica (George) Thellman of Mentor, OH, Stephanie (Ryan) Gibbs of Stow, NY, Franklin (Angel) Matteson III of Jamestown, Ashley (Cody) Gould of Jamestown, Candice (David) Silva of Cherry Creek, Marlene (Drew) Beach of Ft. Bragg, NC and Lyndsey (Mo Dadkhah) Braun of Chicago; grandparents Shirley Hosier of Jamestown, Diane Hatcher of Conyers, GA and Donald and Patricia Silva of New Mexico and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents Ray Hosier and Franklin and Bonnie Matteson, Sr and a cousin Lindsey Hosier.
