Obituary of Laura M. Cimino

Laura Marie Cimino, 53, of Jamestown, NY went to sing and dance with the Lord on Tuesday June 8, 2021, in her home. She was a 1986 graduate from Jamestown High School and went to 'Naomi College". She was the co-owner and director of Guys and Dolls Dance Studio since 1981, starting at the mere age of 13, dancing for her entire life and teaching for 40 years. She was also a singer songwriter, poet and percussionist in high school and was a squad leader of an all-boy drum line. She marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Rose Bowl Parade and their drum line ranked 3rd in the state in 1986 at the Carrier Dome. A life full and well lived, Laura's light still shines on. She was loved by many and had a smile and personality to light up a room! She won first place in New York City in the Dance Educators of America competing against other dance instructors. She was an animal rights activist and saved many animals in her lifetime. She was predeceased by her parents Peter Cimino and Naomi Prince. She is survived by her sister Dina McDaneld; brother-in-law Kelly McDaneld; two wonderful nephews Jakob McDaneld and Jon McDaneld; her significant other and videographer Jason Scott Czyz; her ex-husband and dance partner Raymond Cain with whom she had "Top Hat and Cain Dance Service" and her longtime friend and music partner Ken C. Frazier. She always said that they all were her inner circle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 4 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, Laura would like you to bring teddy bears so they can be donated to the Children's Hospital. She loved her teddy bears! You may leave words of condolence at www.lindfuneralhome.com.
