Obituary of Donald W. Dean

Donald W. Dean, 77, formerly of Prather Ave., Jamestown, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 in Absolut Care of Salamanca. He was born Jan. 12, 1944 in Jamestown, a son of the late Walter and Hilda Gray Dean. Donald attended Panama Central School and in earlier years was employed by the former American Manufacturing Concern, Inc. in Falconer. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, playing dice and cards, and loved to tell stories. Donald is survived by his two brothers Frank (Darlene) Dean and David (Bonnie) Dean, both of Jamestown, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins. In addition to his grandparents and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilford, Everell, and Allen Dean. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021 in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville. Friends and family will be received from 10-11 a.m., for one hour prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home.
