Obituary of Gerald W. Peru

Gerald W. "Butch" Peru, 75, of 959 Shamrock Lane, Corry, Pa, formerly of Jamestown, died Wednesday September 22, 2021, in Corry. He was born November 3, 1945, in Jamestown, a son of the late Howard and Gladys Ringer Peru. Prior to his retirement he was employed for over 25 years by the Brick Layers and Trowel Trade Union. He was a member of the Moose, Eagles, Vikings, and Falconer Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a fan of NASCAR and Stateline Speedway racing. Surviving is his wife Karen Stenstrom Peru, whom he married February 10, 1968; a daughter Kristine (Lonnie) Riggins of South Carolina; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Gerald Peru, Jr; three brothers Howard, Paul and Stanley and a sister Trudy Pickle. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Friday in First Lutheran Church. Visitation will not be observed.
