Obituary of Cynthia Shults Casler

Cynthia Shults Casler, 63, of Jamestown, passed away while in the arms of her sister, Kimberly Shults, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh on Monday, October 4, 2021. She was the widow of Ted H. Casler, and daughter of Edmond Shults, Sr. and the late Diane Shults. Cindy was a nurse at WCA Hospital for many years, always caring for her patients and becoming great friends with her Coworkers. She finally gave up her night career as a nurse to care for her husband Ted Casler. Cindy also worked in the family business at Ed Shults Chevrolet and the Shults Accident and Collision Center with her sister Kim Shults. Being the always caring soul, she was Cindy also did home health care for a few friends who were just "Family" in her mind. Cindy may have had two boys of her own, but her home was always open for more. For decades, Cindy provided a safe clean home for younger people going through divorce, homelessness or just down on their luck. She also made sure if small children were involved, they were welcome for visits. Of course, there was plenty of food available, as she was always cooking for everyone! Her washer and dryer were available to her house guests even if they moved on, and still needed a washer and dryer. One special guest, Danny Colburn could always be counted on, in a moment's notice to please move back in and safeguard her home as she struggled with her own health issues. Danny would care for Cindy's kitties and has currently adopted one. Danny has always told us, as a family, that Cindy is his second Mom. No one cared more for her immediate family or any friend in need, even if they were a stranger for only a few seconds. She will be forever missed by us all.
