Obituary of Leroy Fenton Houghwot

Leroy Fenton Houghwot, 57, of Jamestown, died peacefully Tuesday October 5, 2021, at his campsite trailer in Frewsburg. He was born December 8, 1963, in Jamestown, a son of the late Jean Houghwot Green. He was a 1983 graduate of Jamestown High School. Leroy was employed for over 25 years as a custodian for Jamestown Public Schools retiring in 2018. He was loved by many teachers and children during his career. He loved the outdoors and was a Boy Scout leader for several years. He was known for his sense of humor, building and survival skills and made a mean cobbler over an open fire. He loved all country music especially Alabama and Garth Brooks. He and his wife did everything together, enjoyed camping and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Surviving is his wife Leonna Olejniczak Houghwot; a son Jordan Houghwot of Jamestown; sister Darlene (Tom) Stahlman of Falconer and two brothers Roger (Ruth) Vinton and James Durlin, both of Jamestown. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Donations may be made to Lind Funeral Home to help with expenses.
