Obituary of Craig R. Olson

Craig R. Olson, 44, of 32 Pearl Ave., Jamestown, passed away on Sunday, Oct.10, 2021, in his home of natural causes. He was born Feb. 16, 1977 in Jamestown, the son of Elizabeth A. Draty Vik and the late Randall C. Olson He was a 1995 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended auto body at BOCES. He was employed at numerous auto-body companies and most recently at Ed Shults Auto Body. The joy of his life was his son, Matthew, with whom he spent most of his time and above all he was an excellent father. Craig is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Vik; a brother Keith (Missy) Olson and their children Dylan, Aspen, and Penny; a son Matthew S. Olson and his mother Crystal Holmberg and her daughters Karin and Elizabeth Quackenbush. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his uncles Rodney Olson and David Draty; and his step-father Ivan Vik. A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 in Family Church on Garfield Rd. Pastor Timothy Stahlman will officiate. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday in the church.
