Obituary of Linda S. Armella

Linda S. Armella, 67, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 9: 15 pm Monday, November 22, 2021, in her home, with her family by her side following an extended illness. A lifelong area resident, she was born November 23, 1953, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Jack Kulig and Marilyn I. Prosser Kuilg. Linda was a 1972 graduate of Jamestown High School and obtained her teaching certificate from Erie II-BOCES Early Childhood Education Program. Before her illness, she was employed by the Chautauqua Opportunities Head Start Program, working with children in the pre-school classroom, for over 30 years. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing cross stitch, arts and crafts and was a collector of Precious Moments figurines. Surviving is her husband of 41 years, Thomas J. Armella, whom she married January 17, 1980, three sons: Nathan (Jennifer) Armella of Jamestown, Aaron Armella of Summerfield, FL, Brandon (Abby) Armella of Erie, PA, two step-children, Melissa (Steve) Breth of Lakewood, NY, Torey (Melanie) Armella of Jamestown, seven grandchildren: Avery, Adalyn, Gracie, Miles Armella, Madison Belli, Camden and Colton Armella, a sister, Sandy (Frank) Draves of Dunkirk, N, as well as several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 11 am Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Cygan, parochial vicar of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Friday in the funeral home where masks must be worn while inside the funeral home.
