Obituary of William E. Everson

William "Bill" E. Everson Jr., 83, of 85 Howard St., passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021. A Western New York resident all his life, Bill was born on July 15, 1938, in Buffalo, NY, son of the late William Everson Sr. and Pearl Bateau Everson. Bill was a graduate of Falconer High School where he excelled as an athlete, playing both football and basketball. When Bill would relive the glory days, he'd fondly recall when his 1955 Falconer Football Team won the New York State Championship. Soon after Bill graduated from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1958 to 1960. Once stateside, Bill attended a specialty school in Toledo, OH, to begin his training as a Meat Cutter. Bill then launched his career as the Meat Department Manager at Super Duper in Jamestown, NY. He continued to master his craft for over 50 years, employed with several local grocery stores and shops across the Southern Tier, in Warren, PA and finally with Farm Fresh Foods in Jamestown, NY before his retirement in 2013. Bill loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, watching classic television shows, eating ice cream, and cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Surviving is his wife, Lorenza Lopriore Everson, whom he married Oct. 13, 1962; his two sisters: Audrey Sheldon and Ellen Wood; three children: Michelle (Todd) Hoaglund of Jamestown, NY, Lori Everson of Jamestown, NY, and William M. (Sandra) Everson of Jamestown, NY; six grandchildren: Alexandria Hoaglund, Matthew Hoaglund, Ellie Paterniti, Morgan Everson, Addie Everson and Nick Everson. Bill will be missed by his many DeJoy Family and Lopriore Family nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his two brothers Richard Everson and Grant Everson. No visitation will be observed.
