Obituary of Tammy A. Calamunci Yezzi

Tammy A. Calamunci Yezzi, 58, of Lakewood, NY, passed away at 3:11 pm Friday, December 10, 2021, at UPMC Chautauqua, following a brief illness. A lifelong area resident, she was born June 18, 1963, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of Augusto "Gust" and Dianne E Colera Calamunci. Tammy was a 1981 graduate of Jamestown High School and earned an associate degree in business management from Jamestown Community College. For most of her life, she was a valuable member of her family business, Johnny's Lunch, where she served thousands of patrons, friends, and family members over the years. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish at Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many. She always made everyone feel better, greeting them with her infectious smile. She enjoyed cooking, baking, entertaining, and dining out with friends. Most recently, the highlight of her week was spending Sunday breakfast with her grandson Sebastian. Surviving are her parents, Gust and Dianne Calamunci of Jamestown, her husband of 37 years, Fred A. Yezzi whom she married July 20, 1984, two sons, Robert J. Yezzi, Michael A. (Hannah) Yezzi, a grandson, Sebastian A. Yezzi all of Jamestown, two brothers, John Calamunci of Jamestown, Anthony (Kathy) Calamunci of Sylvania, OH, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Adolph "Johnny" and Minnie Nazzaro Colera and her paternal grandparents, Antonino and Gaetana Germana Calamunci. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday at Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul Cygan, parochial vicar of St. James Catholic Church will be celebrant. Entombment will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends will be received from 4-8 pm Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 3:45 pm Tuesday by Deacon Michael Lennon of St. James Catholic Church. In accordance with New York State mandates, masks must be worn while inside the funeral home and the church.
