Obituary of Donald E. Levin

Donald E. Levin, 81, of 4259 Nutt Road, Jamestown, died Friday December 17, 2021. He was born April 25, 1940, in Jamestown, the son of the late Ernest and Alice Engstrom Levin. He was a 1958 graduate of Southwestern Central School and later graduated from Jamestown Community College and attended Cornell University. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the US Army from 1963-68. Prior to his retirement he was employed by United Refining in Warren as a technician. He had also worked at Cornato Stone. An avid hunter and trap shooter, he was a life member of Busti Trap Club. He also enjoyed parachuting with over 600 jumps in his lifetime. He enjoyed hockey and attending local and travel hockey games with his grandson. Surviving is his wife Darlene Brown Levin, whom he married September 4, 1971; three children Steven (Teasia) Levin of Wyoming, Robert (Darlene) Levin of Arizona and Deborah (Kevin Carlson) Levin of Jamestown; local grandchildren Amanda Rizzo and Tyler Chase both of Jamestown and as well as 25 grandchildren and great grandchildren across the country; two sisters Dorothy Levin and Patricia Levin both of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday June 25, 2022, at the Busti Trap Club, 1181 Southwestern Drive, Jamestown. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
