Obituary of Helen J. Klingensmith

Helen JoAnn Klingensmith,75, of Lakewood, NY passed away January 17, 2022 at UPMC Chautauqua. An area resident for most of her life, she was born September 11, 1946 in Jamestown, NY. One out of 12 children to the late Charles and Minnie Jo Clark Whitmore. She married Larry A. Klingensmith in May 1964. Prior to retirement, she was the owner and sole proprietor of Twice Is Nice Clothing Boutique in Jamestown, NY. She enjoyed music, dancing, cooking and a variety of outdoor activities. She was a proud tender hearted woman with a strong sense of compassion for her family. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for the love and support she provided for her family. Surviving are her 3 children: JoNell (Morris) Forbes of Jamestown, NY, Eric (Lynn) Klingensmith of Jamestown, NY, Larry A Klingensmith, Jr. (Pete) of Jamestown, NY; three grandchildren: Danielle J. Chamberlain of Jamestown, NY, Chad Klingensmith of Jamestown, NY, Amanda M. Forbes of Jamestown, NY; two sisters: Betty Main of Busti, NY, Judy Newbree of Jamestown, NY; and a brother Jack Whitmore of Florida. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters: Barbara Minsker, Florence Hilton, Rose Gammino, Genevieve Williams; and four brothers: William Whitmore, Clyde Whitmore, Leon Whitmore, James Whitmore. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic there will be no services or visitation offered. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery "She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible.
