Obituary of Deloros D. Sampson

Deloros D. "Peachy" Sampson, 85, of Greenhurst, died Thursday January 13, 2022, in her home. Born November 26, 1936, in Falconer, she was a daughter of the late Lauros and Thelma Erhart Briggs. She was a graduate of Falconer Central School. Throughout her life, Peachy displayed a love of crafting, cooking, and communicating. When she wasn't creating something unique in her sewing room, she could likely be found boating with her husband, or running a boutique shop in Bemus Point. Nobody could beat her in a game of pinochle, and her baton twirling skills could not be matched. She was employed by Quality Markets and Peterson Farms, however, was most well-known for co-hosting a television show with Elaine Agnello "Cooking with Peachy and Elaine". For seventeen years, Peachy was able to share her passion for cooking while entertaining the community. Surviving are two children Lisa Sampson and Derek Sampson; four grandchildren Dan Shea, Alicia Shea, Xander Sampson and Xava Sampson; great grandson Conner Nelson; a sister Patricia (Richard) Schlauder and a brother Michael Briggs. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard "Suzzy" Sampson and a brother Larry Briggs. Friends will be received from 1-3 pm Friday in the Lind Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Memorials may be made to Fluvanna Volunteer Fire Department. You may leave words of condolence at www.lindfuneralhome.com.
