Obituary of Beverly J. Lindstrom

Beverly J. Lindstrom, 91, of Orchard Grove, Jamestown, NY, formerly of Celoron, NY, passed away at 11:45 pm Sunday, February 13, 2022, in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility with her family by her side. A lifelong area resident, she was born April 3, 1930, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Vincent F. and Alberta Wright Myers. Before her retirement she was employed by the Southwestern Central School District where she worked for 42 years and was the very first teacher's assistant in Chautauqua County. She was a very active member of the Celoron United Methodist Church and the Celoron Senior Citizens. She was also active in the Celoron community serving as a residential advocate for the village of Celoron. She loved visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always willing to color, fish, or just give a big hug. She loved roller skating, (where she met her husband Kermit) and camping in her younger years, and more recently gardening and traveling with the senior citizens. Surviving is a daughter, Paula L. (Terry) Byrne of Syracuse, NY, eight grandchildren, Jamie (Danielle) Lindstrom of IN, Erik (Candy) Lindstrom of Bemus Point, NY, Danielle Lindstrom of Lakewood, NY, Kelly (Terra) O'Neill of Canton, NY, Lauren (Adam) Orlandella of Fayetteville, NY, Peter Byrne of Austin, TX, Sara Byrne, Molly Byrne both of Syracuse, NY, ten great grandchildren, Austin Ryan Lindstrom, Grace O'Neill, John O'Neill, Dan O'Neill, Ella Lindstrom, Logan Lindstrom, Landon Lindstrom, and Liam Lindstrom, Rhett Orlandella, Easton Orlandella and her brother, Dennis (Sally) Myers of Jamestown. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Beverly loved all her caregivers and was especially close to her family friend Karen Johnson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit H. Lindstrom whom she married July 1, 1950, and who died November 16, 2005, a son, Jeffrey A. Lindstrom who died June 28, 2004, two brothers, Vincent Myers, Jr and Jack Myers and two sisters, Donna Loveless and Judith Myers. Beverly's family would like to thank Heritage Ministries, at Orchard Grove and Heritage Park, who over the last three years cared for Beverly with genuine love and compassion. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 12, 2022, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Childs will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Celoron Fire Department, 92 Dunham Ave. Celoron, NY 14720.
