She was born November 5, 1936, in Jamestown, NY, a twin daughter of the late Charles R. and Mabel M. Drake Glad. Glenda was a 1955 graduate of Jamestown High School. While living in Jamestown, she had worked for the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities and the Weber-Knapp Company. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, and sister who was a very active "mom" during her children's growing up years. She was a volunteer, with her sister Gloria, at WCA Hospital for several years and had a special love of cooking, and baking, gardening, golf, drawing and painting and for her beloved Siamese cats. Surviving is her husband, Roger L. Lyon, whom she married August 14, 1965, her three children; Shelley (John) Brocci of Spring Lake, MI, Lonne (Judith) Lyon of Rochester, NY, Bruce (Anne Fearman) of Forestville, NY, three grandchildren; twin boys, Benjamin, and Jonathan Lyon both of Rochester, NY, Moxie Lyon of Forestville, NY and her twin sister, Gloria A. Raymond of West Ellicott, NY. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt, interim pastor of First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the funeral home.
