Obituary of Edith M. Landquist

Edith M. Landquist, 98, of 300 E. Main St., Falconer, formerly of Wilson Hollow Rd., passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in Heritage Park Nursing Facility, Jamestown. A lifelong area resident, she was born Sept. 3, 1923, a daughter of Frederick George and Grace Willett Harding. She was a 1941 graduate of Falconer High School. Surviving are her two sons, Donald (Jane Young) Landquist, Jr., of Falconer, Terry (Sharon) Landquist of Jamestown; two granddaughters Michelle Marie (Rick) Paterniti of Ellicottville, and Dawn (Mike) Forbes of Frewsburg; a step-granddaughter Cheryl Scolton of Kennedy; six great-grandchildren: Dylan Gaeta of Baltimore, MD, Taige (Samantha) Gaeta of Jamestown, Drew (Michaela) Gaeta of Youngsville, PA., Tristan Gaeta of Tacoma, WA., Hannah Forbes and Conner Forbes, both of Frewsburg; four step-great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren: Ella Rose Gaeta and Zoey Faye Gaeta, both of Jamestown, Greyson Gaeta, Harrison Gaeta, and Edison Gaeta, all of Youngsville, PA., and several nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Landqist, Sr., whom she married January 11, 1947 and who died March 5, 1995; one brother Glenn F. Harding in 1981; two sisters: Lucille W. Cordner in 1979 and Dorothy H. Mee in 2015; and a step-granddaughter Michelle Ann Colburn Sherman in Dec. 2021. A private service was held at the convenience of the family. Burial was in the Levant Cemetery.
