Obituary of Janette H. Faulk

Janette H. Faulk, 99, of Jamestown, NY died Saturday April 23, 2022, in UPMC Chautauqua. She was born at home in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian Berg Noren Grundstrom. She was a 1940 graduate of Jamestown High School, where she sang in A Cappella choir and was a soloist. She was employed as a bookkeeper by Burns Case Goods Company and as a secretary and top administrator at 3M National Advertising Company. She later served as craft director of Covenant Manor. She and her late husband were members of First Covenant Church where they served in the Senior Fellowship for many years. Janette was very creative. Over the years she enjoyed ceramics, puppetry, and writing stories, especially about her beloved Raggedy Ann and Andy. She liked arts and crafts including counted cross stitch, Swedish huck weaving and wood carving, and especially building and elaborately accessorizing doll houses, and other miniatures. Surviving are two daughters Betty Lou Faulk Pillittieri of Jamestown and Eileen Janette Faulk (Bob) Glass of DeBary, FL; grandchildren Laura (Mike) DePue of Orchard Park, NY, David (Amy) Pillittieri of Jamestown, Lynne (Randy) Lamb of Lake Mary, FL and Jayne (Charlie) Beaman of Enterprise, FL; great grandchildren Liam Pillittieri, Vanessa Pillittieri, Patrick Casey, Tommy (Jessi) Swisher and Jacqulyn (John) Tobin and great great grandchildren Aayden Swisher and twins Joy and Jennifer Tobin. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert W. Faulk, whom she married July 15, 1943, and who died July 23, 2013, shortly after their 70th wedding anniversary; also brothers Eugene and Paul Grundstrom and a sister, DeEtta Keding. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
