Obituary of Debra Wahlstrom Nickerson

Debra Wahlstrom Nickerson, 64, of 5675 Centralia-Hartfield Rd., Dewittville, passed away Sunday morning, May 15, 2022 in her home. She was born in Jamestown on May 6, 1958 and after graduating from Falconer High School, received her LPN certification from the former Jamestown School of Practical Nursing. She was then employed by WCA Hospital for many years. Debbie enjoyed horses and working in her garden. She is survived by her mother, Beverly Olson Wahlstrom of Jamestown. Sadly, her father, Paul A. Wahlstrom, passed away two days prior to Debbie, on May 13, 2022. Also surviving is Debbie's husband, Cal Nickerson, whom she married April 30, 1999; two sons, Carl (Christina) Olson of Gerry, NY and Daniel (Jessica Thomas) Hancock of Jamestown; two grandchildren, Carson and Camryn Olson of Gerry; a brother, Steven (Cheryl) Wahlstrom of Jamestown; as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law. Combined services for Debbie and her father, Paul, will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 22 in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Dan Tyler will officiate. Burial will be in Dewittville Cemetery. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday for three hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
