Obituary of Anna M. Bartlett

Anna M. "Ann" Bartlett, 69, of the Blockville-Watts Flats Rd. Ashville, NY, passed away at 10:14 pm Monday, May 23, 2022, in UPMC Chautauqua. An area resident for most of her life, she was born June 3, 1952, in Gowanda, NY, a daughter of the late Oliver L. Scott and the late Loretta M. Dunmire Scott Kline. Before her retirement she was employed as a Pharmacy Tech for Rite Aid Pharmacy. She had also worked as a home health care aide for Willcare for several years. In earlier years she had worked at the former Jamesway Department Store. She will be remembered as one who loved to spend time doing crafts, especially crocheting. She also enjoyed gardening and canning and freezing fruits and vegetables. Surviving are her two children; Wendy (Todd Lisciandro) Strickland of Ashville, NY, John (Penny Woodring) Pritchard of Celoron, NY, three grandchildren; Renee Strickland of Leland, NC, Jermin (Vicki) Strickland of Jamestown, NY, Amanda (Austin) Davis of Columbia, MS, three great grandchildren, three brothers; Frank Scott, Charles (Dorothy) Scott, Richard (Nancy) Scott, her sister-in-law; Judy (Dwane) Comstock of Jamestown, NY, her dearest friend, June Whipple of Ashville, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Bill" Bartlett whom she married October 29, 1976, and who died March 25, 2013, a nephew Charles Scott, and her constant companion, her loving dog "Duke". The funeral will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Hodgins, retired pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Blockville Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-6 pm Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Panama Volunteer Fire Department, 27 East Main St. Panama, NY 14767.
