Obituary of Sheila M. Eaglesome

Sheila M. Eaglesome (Spoto), 83 of Jamestown, NY, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA. She was born in Jamestown, daughter of Ross A. and Josephine E. Scaccia Spoto. After graduating from Jamestown High School in 1957, she graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and was president of 2 sororities while there. Sheila married Robert E. Eaglesome on September 14, 1963, at St. James Church. Together they returned to Jamestown in 1983 to open their family business, Kwik Kopy Printing, which is now Quick Solutions Printing. In 1995, Quick Solutions in Warren, PA was opened and in 1996 they bought and renovated the old Gokey Centre in downtown Jamestown, which is now the Third & Cherry Business Centre. Sheila loved our community and helping others. She served on the Board of Directors for WCA Foundation for 10 years serving as Vice Chair and Chair. She also served many years on the Board of Directors for WCA Hospital, WCA Services, Jamestown Audubon Society and American Cancer Society. She was a Charter Member of the Greater Jamestown AM Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris Award three times. She volunteered with many organizations through the years including 13 years with the American Heart Radiothon, Babe Ruth Baseball including being a host family, and Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. She also cooked many team dinners for the Southwestern Football Team. A member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, she served on the Vestry, the Evangelism committee, and was an usher. She was a member of the Bishop Overs Guild where she served as Treasurer and Publicity Co-chair for the Harvest Luncheon. Memberships included Jamestown Consistory Auxiliary, Shrine Auxiliary, Herman Kent Post 777 Auxiliary, Roger Tory Peterson Institute, Chautauqua County Humane Society, Moon Brook Country Club. Sheila's positive, happy spirit and beautiful smile lit up the room and made everyone feel welcome and special. Her sense of humor brought smiles to many. She will be missed by her loving family; daughters Melissa Uber and Michelle Camarata; grandchildren Allecia Sharp (Devin), Shane Uber (Jill), Zac Camarata (Danielle), Sean Uber and Tyler Uber; great grandchildren Tyson and Laila Sharp, Alanna, Adrienne and Luca Camarata, Eli and Sara Uber; brother Douglas Spoto (Lucia) and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Eaglesome who died September 21, 1999, son-in-law, Robert W. Uber who died August 14, 2012, and two sisters, Charlotte Sirwatka and Barbara Hoffman. The funeral will be held at 11am Wednesday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Luke Fodor, rector will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-6 pm Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Luke's Bell Tower Restoration Fund and/or the WCA Foundation Eaglesome Family Fund for Autoimmune Diseases would be gladly received.
