Obituary of Pamela A. Wilson

Pamela A. Wilson, 71, of Lakewood, NY, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA. A lifelong area resident, she was born April 22, 1951, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Dr. Ansel and Mildred Shamel Martin. She was a graduate of Penn Hall Prep School in Chambersburg, PA, Jamestown Business College, and Jamestown School of Practical Nursing. Before her retirement she worked with her father with his medical practice, Dr. Ansel Martin, Dermatology in Jamestown. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion Auxiliary, the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, and the Celoron Moose Lodge. Surviving is her husband, Jeffrey A. Wilson whom she married in 1974, two brothers: Ansel (Patty) Martin, Jr. of Jamestown, NY, Bruce (Ina) Martin of Boston, MA, her sisters, and brothers in law: Debbie (Larry) Ammons of Naples, FL, Julie (Tom) Brown of Lakewood, NY, Carrie (Gregory) Edwards of Busti, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2022, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Hagel, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Wednesday, one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lakewood Fire Department, 37 JW Packard Blvd. Lakewood, NY 14750 or to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown, NY 14701.
