Obituary of William F. Tyler

William F. "Bill" Tyler, 73, of Ramsey Road in Ashville, died Thursday morning, August 25, 2022 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born June 21, 1949 in Jamestown, the son of the late William and Beverly Johnson Tyler, and was a graduate of Panama Central School. Bill was employed for many years by the former House of Television and retired from Tri James Services, Inc. An avid NASCAR fan, he was a 40-year season ticket holder to the Daytona 500 and often known as "Dollar Bill". Bill was a founding member since 1974 of the Lower Lake Area Men's Association where he had served as chairman of the board. He was also a member of the Busti Men's Club and the Sons of the American Legion Lakewood Post 1286. He loved hunting & camping with and spending time with family and friends. Surviving is his wife, Lori DiDomenico York Tyler, whom he married July 25, 1997; a daughter, Pamela Campion and two sons, Jonathan York and Adam York; and four grandchildren: Austin Lindstrom, Connor Campion, Emelyn Campion and Kaylee York. Also surviving are four sisters: Darlyne Tyler Plank, Karen Hall Blackledge, Debra King and Ann Marie Kozlowski-Dreesen; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as many close friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 8th from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Llama Club, Route 474, Ashville. The family requests memorials be made to the Meredith A.
