Obituary of Judith C. Parsons

Judith C. Parsons, 82, of Falconer, NY, passed away at 1:20 pm Saturday, September 3, 2022, in her home following a brief illness. An area resident since 1955, she was born June 13, 1940, in Olean, NY, a daughter of the late Leo G. "Pat" and Norma A. Carr Schnell. Judy was a 1959 graduate of Southwestern Central School and a graduate of the Jamestown School of Practical Nursing. Before her retirement, she was employed by the former WCA Hospital for 34 years. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who enjoyed bowling, doing word seek puzzle books and jigsaw puzzles. Surviving are her three children: Ralph D. (Kathleen) Parsons, Jr. of Duncan, SC, Deborah (Richard) Jaroszynski of Falconer, NY, Laura (Knut) Burstrom of Falconer, NY, six grandchildren: Holly (Justin) Maynard of Murfreesboro, TN, Logan (Logan Keeter) Burstrom of Columbus, OH, Erin (Nate Stanton) Burstrom of Somers, CT, Knut Burstrom of Busti, NY, Hillary Brown of Lyman, SC, Ethan Parsons of Duncan, SC, three great grandchildren: Arianna, Adalynn, and Jasper Maynard, two sisters, Mary Karen O'Boyle of Jamestown, Lee Ann Young of FL, her sister-in-law, Kimberly Schnell of Jamestown as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Parsons, Sr. whom she married June 13, 1964, and who died April 3, 2008, a daughter, Cheryl Ann Parsons who died in 1965, and a brother, A. Kevin Schnell who died in 2000. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday, September 7, 2022, in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Falconer, NY. The Rev. Donald Watkins, Jr., administrative vicar will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 5:45 pm Tuesday.
