Obituary of Roger F. Plano

Roger F. Plano, 78, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at 1:58 am Friday, November 25, 2022, in UPMC Chautauqua. A lifelong area resident, he was born June 13, 1944, in Jamestown. NY, a son of the late Frederick and Sigrid Johnson Plano. Roger was a graduate of Falconer Central School and earned his teaching degree from Fredonia State University. Before his retirement, he was a science teacher for the Randolph Central School System for over 30 years. Surviving are two daughters, Danielle M. Cederquist with whom he made his home, Suzanne E. (Kate Mullen) Plano of Wells, ME, and a granddaughter, Camryn M. Cederquist of Jamestown, NY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife the former M. Elizabeth Ciancio Plano whom he married March 22, 1975, and who died December 4, 2016, and a sister, Patricia G. Plano who died February 15, 2007. The funeral will be held at 10 am Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Todd Remick of Holy Apostles Parish will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
