Obituary of Paula Johnson

Paula Johnson, 73, of Jamestown passed away with her family at her side on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in UPMC Chautauqua unexpectedly. She was born in Jamestown, NY on June 11, 1949. a daughter to the late Dominick and Angeline Malone Salone and was a graduate of Jamestown High School in 1967. For many years she was a member of Holy Apostles, Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She started her career at Chautauqua Cattaraugus Library System and followed by the American Cancer Society, ADT Security, MRC Federal Credit Union and retired from The Resource Center. She was also a member of Celorn Legion and Moose Auxiliaries and a former member of Allen Park Woman's Club. She will be remembered for her love and devotion for her family and especially for her grandbabies and the special relationships she had with each one of them. She was known for cooking large meals and always making them with love. She enjoyed knitting baby blankets for her family and her special friends. She loved going to the Casino and will always be remembered for her love of Tim Horton coffee. Surviving is her husband, Dean Johnson whom she married July 29, 1972; two children, Eric (Tricia) Johnson of Falconer and Stephanie McIntyre of Lakewood; five grandchildren Brandon, Brock, Jaxin Johnson and Alyssa and Gaige McIntyre of Lakewood; a sister Diane Salone of Jamestown, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters Patricia Oljeski and Rosemarie Rizzo. The funeral will be held at 1pm Monday in Lind Funeral home followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends will be received from 11AM to 1PM Monday in the funeral home.
