Obituary of Hilary J. Farnella

Hilary J. Farnella, 54, of Dunkirk, formerly of Jamestown, died Monday December 12, 2022, in Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born January 14, 1968, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Dr. John Farnella and Betty Pickell Stromgren. A 1986 graduate of Jamestown High School she earned a bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University in 1990 and later a teaching degree from Mercyhurst University. She had been employed by Jamestown Public Schools as a substitute teacher. She loved her dog Kalina and cheering for Tom Brady. Surviving are two daughters Abigail and Ellie Blixt both of Pittsburgh, PA; two brothers Dr. John (Karen) Farnella of Orlando, FL and Joseph (Crissy) Farnella of Naples, FL; a sister Elizabeth Farnella of Charleston, SC and several nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
