Obituary of Mary Ann Giordano

Mary Ann Giordano, 89, formerly of Ivy St. Jamestown, NY, passed away at 2:42 pm Monday, December 19, 2022, in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. A lifelong area resident, she was born November 11, 1933, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the Charles N. and Margaret Tedesco Agate. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She also enjoyed getting together with her lady's club for over 40 years. Before her retirement years, she and Rose Bellitto owned and operated the former Bellitto & Giordano Draperies on Chambers St. for many years. Surviving are her two sons; Gregory (Allyson) Giordano of Smithfield, VA, Jeffrey (Michele) Giordano of Maineville, OH, and a granddaughter; Hayley (Andrew) Hilgenberg-Parks of Anderson, OH. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Giordano, whom she married September 29, 1956, and who died October 15, 1997, and her sister, Antonette R. Tuccio who died February 9, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday in St. James Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 5:45 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
