Obituary of Beverly J. Erickson

Beverly J. Erickson, 84, of 675 Southside, Cherry Creek, died Wednesday January 11, 2023, at home at peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with her favorite kitty by her side. She was born March 23, 1938, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Willard and Berdena Kent Furlow. She was a 1957 graduate of Southwestern Central High School and a member of the Kappa Zeta Chi Sorority. After graduation from SWCS, she attended Jamestown Business College. She was an excellent artist and enjoyed stitching embroidery. Her other interests include writing short stories, playing cribbage, checkers, Chinese checkers, and canasta, but more than anything, she loved time spent with her grandchildren. Surviving are children Donald (Shelley) Erickson, Jr., of Oregon, Deborah (Jeffrey) Carlson of Falconer, Steven Erickson of Cherry Creek, Sandy (Don) DeAngelo of Jamestown and Judy Connors of Florida; grandchildren Kiera, Dain, Mason, Daniel, Beth (Joshua Green), Steven, Matthew and Mel; two great grandsons Joseph and Eric; a sister Karen (Art) Christian, a brother Ken Furlow, and many nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald A. Erickson, whom she married August 6, 1960, and who died August 13, 2021; an infant daughter; three grandchildren and a sister Pat Shafer. A celebration of life will be held at the Watts Flats United Methodist Church from 1 pm to 4 pm on February 10, 2023.
